Argentina reached this week the 80% of the population vaccinated against coronavirus with at least one dose. Although it is a first objective achieved, the more than 4 million young people who started the process but did not complete the scheme are concerned, especially when infections begin to rise again.
What’s more, there are 8.8 million Argentines over 3 years of age who have not yet received any dose of the vaccine. The Ministry of Health has faced in recent weeks the bottleneck of those who resist vaccination, especially with the spread of new variants of Covid that are already circulating in Europe.

To try to prevent what is happening in Europe from happening, where many countries had to return to stages of confinement, Argentina will have to achieve exceed 80% of the population vaccinated with the full schedule in the coming months and do not miss more than six for the application of the third doses.

How many vaccines were administered and how many are yet to be supplied
In the 11 months that elapsed since the first application, Argentina vaccinated 36,491,322 people with at least one dose, of which 29.371.242 yes completed the outline. That is 7,120,080 still remain to receive the second serum.
More than 3.2 million are boys from 3 to 11 years old who started the vaccination process, but have not yet reached the necessary time between one dose and another to complete the scheme. Vaccination by provinces
The province with the highest percentage of population with vaccination scheme started Its the Catamarca, with the 90,4%; they are followed by Santiago del Estero, with 88.8%; the City of Buenos Aires, with 88.1%; La Pampa, with 85.9%, and Formosa and La Rioja, both with 84.8 percent.
Tierra del Fuego, Río Negro, San Luis, Santa Fe, Córdoba, Neuquén and San Juan are between 84.2% and 80%. Below are Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, Corrientes, Tucumán, Mendoza, Santa Cruz, Salta and Chubut, between 80% and 70%; and in last places Chaco, with 69.6%, and Missions, with 62.2%.
As to second dose, La Pampa and the City of Buenos Aires lead the ranking with the 80% of the vaccinated population with complete scheme; followed by San Luis, 75.4%; Tierra del Fuego, 71.4%, and Santiago del Estero, 71.3%.

La Rioja, Santa Fe, Formosa, Córdoba, Río Negro, Catamarca, Buenos Aires, San Juan and Neuquén vaccinated between 70% and 60% of their population with two doses; while Entre Ríos, Santa Cruz, Mendoza, Tucumán, Chubut, Jujuy, Corrientes and Salta, did it at between 60% and 50%.
Meanwhile, Chaco inoculated 48.4% and, once again, Missions came in last place, with the 44.8% of its population with complete scheme.
