So far, Boca and River have met in three finals: Xeneize won one and Millionaire two.
The first decisive duel between the two most powerful teams in Argentina was for Nacional in 1976, on the Racing field. The Ribera team won 1-0 thanks to a free kick goal from Rubén Suñé.
Núñez’s men took revenge just 42 years later, but they did it twice: they won the Argentine Super Cup that year and the historic Copa Libertadores in 2018.
