Mauro Zárate found a club: he signed with Platense in an unexpected pass

Mauro Zarate he was without a club and wanted to play in Argentine football again. The wait was a bit long, but he finally found a place to continue: Platense.

At the beginning of the year Zárate had terminated contract with Youth and he was without a club. In a recent note he had expressed his desire to continue in Argentine soccer.

“I want to stay in Argentina. Now I am training to wait for a formal offer and get fully involved in the day-to-day life of a team, ”he said in April to ESPN.

His visit to the Boca campus

Mauro Zarate went through Boca training at the end of April and a photo was taken with his former teammates from the campus.

Zárate had signed a contract with the Juventude of Brazil, but it lasted only one month.

He had previously played in América de Minas Gerais. Family issues made him return to the country and now he is hoping to find a team as soon as possible to continue his career.

The forward had been sounded out by Gimnasia, Colón, Talleres, San Lorenzo and Racing, but he did not settle with any of them.

Zarate left Boca in May 2021 because he considered that he did not have the opportunities he deserved. At that time he had a conflict with coach Miguel Ángel Russo and asked to terminate his contract early.
