“La Mona” Jiménez celebrates at the Obelisk

“Boquitas pintadas”: a danced version of the novel by Manuel Puig
It is one of the great titles of the 2022 season of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex: painted mouths, choreographic recreation of the novel by Manuel Puig. Directed by Oscar Araiz and Renata Schussheim, Boquitas Pintadas is a revival of the 1997 play, although the current staging has differences from the original.
Starring the Contemporary Ballet of San Martín, the revival was scheduled for May 2020 but was altered by the pandemic. Although he was unable to go on stage, the work continued remotely and some of that material was shared on networks.
