How is “Mercury – Acts 1 & 2″, the new Imagine Dragons album
The album is the most grandiose bet of the band to date. With 32 songs! and produced by Rick Rubin (RHCP, Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys, entre mil etc), the album includes songs such as “Enemy”, “Bones” and “Sharks”, which have already exceeded one billion reproductions on digital platforms. While what Act 1 explores themes such as love, faith, pain, passion and loss, Act 2 focuses on classifying personal loss and questioning how to move on.

“Act 1 focuses on the immediacy of death and “Act 2″ is the process that comes after”said singer Dan Reynolds. “So it’s about facing what’s going on, waking up and realizing that life has to go on. When you lose someone you love, life goes on. This album is about loss, pain and life. Nevertheless, there is a lot of joy in this album because it is about being present”.
Mercury Acts 1 & 2 is a work of catharsis, in which they searched get out of the comfort zone and avoid the classic repetitive slogan of his lyrics. Here the band explores new musical horizons to give way to a song conception that evokes much more soul and sensitivitywithout losing the quest for the epic, a trademark of the group.
