The governor of Misiones said that he is in contact with the head of the Palacio de Hacienda and that he hopes that a scheme for yerba, tea, wood and tobacco will come into force in April.

After the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, announced that he would implement the so-called “wine dollar or Malbec dollar” as of April 1, a differential exchange rate for exports from the wine industry, several sectors once again requested access to a similar program.

Initially, the governor of Misiones, Oscar Herrera Ahuad, said that he held talks with the head of the Palacio de Hacienda to obtain a differential scheme for four products that are pillars of the economy of the province he commands: yerba mate, tea, wood and tobacco. “We were in contact all weekend and we are well on our way to achieve the benefit from April,” Ahuad emphasized.
