Juan Manuel lives in Capitán Bermúdez, a town that is attached to Rosario. In the capital of Santa Fe, one of his sons lives with his family. A few days ago, a photo of a job that his seven-year-old grandson did at school came to him via WhatsApp, and he was amazed and hurt.
The teacher asked the students to draw the place where they lived. And at his young age, the boy made a drawing that causes chills and describes the reality of the drug war that Rosario is going through.

The teacher’s request was: “Draw the place where you live taking into account those elements that can be used to locate that place.” With colored pencils, the boy drew a man with a cap and a gun in one of his hands. In the image it is also seen that he is pointing at another subject who is with his hands raised. It even included a bullet.

Shocked by the photo he had received, Juan Manuel, the boy’s grandfather, shared the image on the citizen journalism portal and accompanied it with a message: “I have a lump in my throat when I see my grandson’s homework,” he wrote.
In dialogue with TN and La Gente, Juan Manuel said that his son was so shocked by the drawing that he shared it with him. “When the message reached me and I saw my grandson’s drawing, I felt sad, because I wonder what future we are leaving for the little ones. I don’t know if he was watching the news or what, the truth is that he identifies his neighborhood with crime.
In addition, he explained that his family does not live in a problematic neighborhood in Rosario nor are they witnesses to the shootings, however, “my grandson has that image in his head that he described very well in a drawing. Unfortunately, it is a reality that we cannot hide from you, ”he concluded.
