The heat continues without respite and the electricity demand rose again this Friday. The power outages were repeated in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), at a time when the temperature exceeded 33 degrees with a thermal sensation of 37.
According to the registry of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) updated at 11:30 p.m., a total of 78,524 users remained without supply. In the Edesur concession area, 76,890 cuts were registered and in the Edenor area they recorded 1,634.

The service interruption occurred at a time when Cammesa reported that the demand for energy to the SADI system was above 25,800 MW, above the previous day, and after the consecutive consumption records that were set at the beginning of week.
On Wednesday there was a peak of 110,000 users in the city of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs deprived of electricity supply, while self-convened residents demonstrated in different neighborhoods of the Capital against the company Edesur.

Street cuts due to lack of light
Due to lack of electricity supply, residents of different neighborhoods of the City and the Buenos Aires suburbs held protests to make visible the claim for the lack of electricity.
In this sense, users affected by the interruptions, which in many cases have been going on for days, will gather from 7:00 p.m. this Friday at the corner of Acoyte and Rivadavia avenue, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito. They will demand “the comprehensive renewal of the power line” and “automatic and general compensation” to those affected by the lack of service.
