A group of 30 prisoners rioted this afternoon at a Moreno police station and took a policeman hostage. The detainees demand better housing conditions in the cells.
The revolt began at the 4th Police Station of Cuartel V. Strictly speaking, the riots began due to the reduced space capacity. Thus, the detainees recorded several videos with a series of demands in the voice of cash and sent them to their relatives. The most urgent request is that of immediate transfer.

“We want to show how prisoners live in an inhuman way. At the moment, we don’t have water, they don’t give us food catering and when they do, it’s rotten. We are 30 inmates in a cell for nine people. People also sleep in the courtyard”, claimed one of the prisoners who organized the revolt, according to what was published by the news outlet Primicia24.
“You can’t sleep. The boys sleep in the hallway lying around. The kids are sleeping in Paraguayan hammocks. Not even in Colombia are they living like this”, emphasized another of the prisoners.
