Patricia Bullrich is not willing to give up Horacio Rodríguez Larreta. Despite the meeting of the National Council of the PRO that the head of the Buenos Aires government convened yesterday, the ex-minister of Security will continue to resist the entry of the liberal economist José Luis Espert.
Party sources confirmed to TN that Bullrich will ignore the meeting of the PRO Council that met urgently on Tuesday night.

Espert wants to be a candidate for president and has Larreta’s endorsement. For the head of government, it is a key addition, since he divides the hardest electorate for Bullrich. Meanwhile, from the former Security Minister’s camp, in principle they had no qualms about her arrival, but it had to be to fight in the province of Buenos Aires.

Larreta, for her part, needs to establish herself as a leader within the PRO. For this reason, he does not want to be affected – by what close to the head of government tells him – “the Alberto Fernández syndrome”, which ended up being dominated by Cristina Kirchner.
In addition, the Buenos Aires leader is convinced of the need to broaden the Together for Change coalition to create a broader governance base.

Are you considering Scahiretti as a vice-presidential candidate? In the PRO they say no. That this vice-president position is reserved for radicalism. But he does not rule out that, once in government, the Cordovan could become a very good Minister of the Interior thanks to the fluid contact he has with the other governors.
For now, the discussion on Schiaretti was postponed. The negotiations with Bullrich seem to be at one of the worst moments, she is not even willing to tolerate the entry of Espert or the head of the GEN, Margarita Stolbizer.

This was reflected in the meeting that was held yesterday by Together for Change, where Federico Angelini, president of the PRO and a man from Burllrich, vetoed the incorporation of the economist to the electoral front unless he agreed to go to dispute, internally through, the province of Buenos Aires. Aires.
He also opposed the incorporation of Stolbizer and -as was supposed beforehand- that of the governor of Córdoba Juan Schiaretti.

However, from the environment of the Buenos Aires head of government they insisted that before “the imminent expiration of the term for the constitution of alliances, they meet as many times as required to listen to the opinions of the whole council.”
Larreta knows that she cannot go back. Because backtracking on his proposal to expand the space would mean diluting his candidacy. He can only go forward.
