To make the work easier for parents, some scientists decided to carry out a study to determine which is the most beautiful name in the world and the investigation was carried out based on different factors: the sound, the writing, the meaning and the esthetic. Out of a hundred names, one was chosen.

In 2022, an investigation was carried out through the My 1st Years brand, recognized in the United States for selling clothing or products for babies, and it was done with the collaboration of Bodo Winterd, a professor of linguistics at the University of Birmingham. . The study analyzed baby names based on surveys of buyers of the brand, and the list was pared down to 10 girl names and 10 boy names.

“The names that obtained the highest scores were those that provoked the most positive emotions when spoken out loud and, therefore, are more likely to sound better to the human ear,” the teacher commented.

According to the data obtained by the United States and the United Kingdom, the name with the most votes was Zayn, which gained popularity by the singer of the band One Direction, Zayn Malik. This name has Arabic origin and means “beautiful”, while in the ranking of the most beautiful names, the second was Matthew, whose meaning is related to “a gift from God”.
