According to the latest study by Booking, one of the main travel booking platforms worldwide, 85% of Argentines plan to opt for adventure trips or different experiences instead of classic romantic getaways.
Could it be that the pandemic has changed the way Argentines view love and relationships? The numbers seem to suggest so.

While 15% of Argentines plan a romantic getaway, other Latin American destinations stand out in the field of romance. Brazilians lead the ranking with an impressive 26%, closely followed by Colombians with 23%, and Mexicans with 20%.

It seems that adventure and the search for new experiences became the new love of Argentines. 16% of those consulted through the platform’s traveler database express their interest in changing the way they travel to embark on more active trips, a trend that is also evident in other countries in the region. , such as Brazil and Colombia, with 14%, and Mexico, with 13%.

As for the activities preferred by Latin American travelers, road travel is at the top of the list, with 36% of Argentines, 39% of Brazilians, 34% of Colombians and 25% of Mexicans interested in traveling scenic routes .
Camping has also become an attractive option for many, with 15% of Argentinians, 13% of Brazilians, 18% of Colombians and 15% of Mexicans willing to spend a night under the stars.
Trekking or hiking is another activity that is popular throughout Latin America, especially among Brazilians, with 11%, followed by Argentines with 10%, Colombians with 7% and Mexicans with 5%.
In addition to their interest in adventure, Argentines stand out for their preference for trips in groups of friends, with 16%, surpassing Brazilians and Colombians, both with 15%, and Mexicans with 13%.
Globally, the average preference for group travel was 19%. Interestingly, Argentines are the least inclined to travel alone in the region, at just 13%, compared to Brazilians, who lead at 23%, followed by Colombians and Mexicans, both at 18%.
