A 50-year-old man barricaded himself in his home in the Lanús district, after attacking the houses in the neighborhood with bullets and threatening neighbors with his gun. After staying inside for several hours, he took his own life when he was cornered by the police.
Everything happened in a house located between Montevideo and Guidi streets. As TN learned, the man was identified with the initials RET, he was a dentist and would have had a family conflict that led him to make this decision.

During the early morning, the neighbors had reported him after seeing him go out into the street with a gun, with which he fired shots into the air and at the fronts of the houses. He also threatened them from the sidewalk.
This afternoon, several members of the Buenos Aires Police surrounded the area and tried to enter the property, but at one point they heard gunshots coming from inside and the prosecutor from UFI No. 6 of Avellaneda-Lanús requested support from the Halcón Group.
Once at the scene, the police – who are trained for this type of operation – tried to talk to the shooter. However, the negotiation did not come to fruition: when they entered the house they found him dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

According to the City Police, the agents received a 911 call in which a woman requested help to contain her husband, who was aggressive.
When the officers arrived at the building located on 2500 Santa Fe Avenue, they found that the 47-year-old woman had a blow to her face and said that she had been attacked by her 55-year-old partner.
The agents tried to talk to the aggressor to get him to leave the building but he refused and locked himself on the terrace, on the 14th floor, with his son. Finally, the agents entered the terrace and detained the man. The baby is unharmed.
