The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a red alert for extreme temperatures for this Thursday, February 1, for the south of Buenos Aires; The Pampa; northwest of Río Negro; center and north of Neuquén; Mendoza; west St. Louis; and south, center and east of San Juan. For these sectors, maximum temperatures are expected to be between 35°C and 41°C for much of the day.

The AMBA area presents an orange alert, as does the west of the province and the center of Río Negro is added to it; south of Neuquén; south and west of Córdoba; south and west of San Luis; north of San Juan; Catamarca and La Rioja.
In the rest of the provinces that include the Pampas, northeast and northwest regions, a yellow alert is in effect for high temperatures, as well as in the southeast of Chubut and the east of Santa Cruz, where maximum temperatures will be between 29°C and 32°. c.
