What is the simple rate and the progressive rate in metered parking in CABA
The “simple rate” and the “progressive rate” are two charging methods that are applied depending on the time a vehicle remains parked. Its definitions are the following:
The simple rate refers to a fixed cost per hour, regardless of how long the vehicle is parked. For example, if the simple rate is $176 per hour, you will be paid that amount for the entire day the vehicle is parked, regardless of how long it is there. The progressive rate increases with each additional hour the vehicle is parked. It is used to discourage long-term parking in areas with high parking demand.
