An unusual event occurred this afternoon in the Mendoza city of Godoy Cruz. A man who was shopping at a butcher shop on Independencia and Rodríguez Peña streets saw a thief taking his truck and went out to stop it.
In this way, he hung on the vehicle trying to avoid the robbery, which caused the criminal to end up overturning a few meters away. Both were injured, although not seriously injured. The thief was arrested.

As confirmed by police officers, after escaping a few blocks with the owner of the truck hanging from it, the criminal found himself trapped by the Police and tried to maneuver to avoid them, but ended up overturning.
Immediately, several residents of the area approached to try to lynch the thief, who suffered a cutting wound in his eye as a result of the accident and had to be assisted by doctors from an ambulance from the Coordinated Emergency Service. Once out of danger, he was detained and placed at the disposal of Prosecutor's Office 3 of Godoy Cruz.

In turn, the owner, who also ended up injured with multiple traumas, had to be treated and transferred to the Central Hospital of Mendoza.
