A woman was found dead this Thursday at noon in a field in the town of Pampa del Infierno, in the province of Chaco. Police believe she was murdered and, so far, the main suspect is her ex-partner.
The victim was identified as Ruth Florentina Cevilán and, at the time of discovery, her body had multiple bruises, blood stains in the stomach area and she had a cloth inside her mouth, according to Télam.

According to police sources, the personnel of the Pampa del Infierno police station received the notice due to the presence of the body of a deceased woman, this is how the officers arrived at a field in the Primavera neighborhood.
Cevilán was found inside a precarious home located in an area of the mountain and, at the scene, they discovered a wooden-handled hammer, which was presumed to be the murder weapon.
The case was in charge of prosecutor Liliana Lupi, part of the Sáenz Peña Investigative Prosecutor's Office, and she ordered the corresponding autopsy along with other measures to elucidate the facts.

In addition, the victim's son told investigators that, on Wednesday night, his mother left her house to meet her ex-partner, identified as Ariel Armando Vargas, 43 years old and known as “Kiko,” who lives in the Aviation neighborhood and never returned.
In this way, the Police deployed an intense search operation to find the alleged perpetrator of the crime, who would be traveling on a 110-cylinder Gilera motorcycle, gray and brown in color, according to the authorities.

For this reason, special units and surrounding police stations spread the request for the arrest of “Kiko” Vargas to road posts and checkpoints to arrest him if they located him.
In turn, prosecutor Lupi ordered the preservation of the crime scene so that the investigations can be carried out by Sáenz Peña's scientific office.
