Boca closed the loan of Bruno Valdez to Cerro Porteño and managed to find time to hire one more footballer. Xeneize has a deadline of February 9, so Juan Román Riquelme set his eyes on a player he has already tried to hire twice and hopes the third time will be the charm: Fausto Vera.

The 23-year-old midfielder is a weakness for the current president of Xeneize, who wants to take advantage of two things: that he is not taken into account in Corinthians and the debt that the Brazilian club has with Argentinos Juniors, which was punished by FIFA. Timao owes Bicho $3,450,000, plus interest of 18% per year starting in July 2023.

Román dreams of having Vera's services. So much so that he made two attempts last year, but the negotiations did not prosper. Now that Corinthians' debt to El Bicho has appeared, one of the alternatives that Boca has is to make an offer for the percentage of the pass and help the Brazilians pay it off.
Vera's dream that involves Riquelme
In 2020, when he was a Bicho soccer player, Vera gave an interview on TyC Sports, where he acknowledged that he could play for another Argentine soccer team, including Boca. “For him to call me Juan Román Riquelme would be something very nice and a tremendous source of pride, he is my soccer idol,” he expressed.
The news of Fausto Vera in Corinthians
Since his arrival in Brazil, the midfielder played 77 games, scored one goal and provided three assists. But the former Argentinos Juniors midfielder is not taken into account by Mano Menezes, coach of Corinthians: he has only played 4 games so far this season.
