A Chacarita Juniors fan who had attended the team's debut in the Primera Nacional died at the Manuel Belgrano General Provincial Hospital in the Buenos Aires town of San Martín.
What did the Chacarita fan die from?
Buenos Aires Police Spokespersons Jorge Daniel Durán, 43, was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but they were unable to stabilize him and he died.
According to what could be reconstructed, the confrontation began at 5:45 p.m. in the popular gallery and the fight continued outside the state, where “they fought with fists,” until one of those involved used a knife to stab Durán in the chest.

Despite the fight, the game continued until the first half was completed and then there was a 20-minute break. The second half continued at 6:30 p.m.
Sources from the Buenos Aires Police indicated to TN that everything “happened inside the club” and that it was a “brawl between themselves.” Likewise, he indicated that evidence about the crime is still being collected and that the new head of APreViDe, Guillermo Cimadevila, was heading to the stadium to supervise the investigation.
