The rebellion of the Casa Rosada workers with the Government continues: they displaced those of the Presidency from their work sector and there are complaints about the payment of overtime for December that was made on February 1. In the ruling party, they are determined to advance an audit to corroborate their function and compliance.
As TN learned, there are several employees who received half the amount assigned to extraordinary work that they had been receiving and there is discomfort because there was no difference compared to last month's salary after the 16% increase.

One of the waiters told this media: “My salary was maintained, I did not have any real increase. They lowered the amount of overtime and balanced it with a 16% raise. In December I earned $450,000 and in January the same.”
They have no definitions about what will happen with the January overtime assignments. The Government has until February 15 to define the measures, since it is the deadline for employees to spend overtime and be approved by officials.

Until last month, the net salary of the waiters was made up of 60% overtime. TN was able to access the receipt for one of these and confirmed that of the $450,643 it received in December, 58.32% was assigned to extraordinary work.
That is why the reduction in overtime hours promoted by the ruling party through a resolution by the Secretary of Transformation of the State and Public Service, Armando Guibert, especially affects the waiters, beyond the fact that it applies to all State workers.

As TN learned, they wanted to negotiate directly with the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and with the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, but they were unable to establish contact. In the past, they claim that they spoke directly with former official Santiago Cafiero about the assignment of overtime.
They also couldn't get close to Javier Milei. When they bring him coffee, his private secretary, Mario Suli, stops them and grabs their tray. He comes in with the order and the staff leaves. The same thing happens when they bring him lunch, but with the addition that his custodians taste the food beforehand.

The Government removed the former Presidency waiters from the sector and relocated them to different plants. More than one Casa Rosada worker was struck by seeing them outside the space where they worked for more than 30 years.
As discussed in the hallways of Balcarce 50, the decision would have to do with ideological reasons and that the Executive leadership does not want this to influence the information that circulates. That is why they replaced them with three young waiters from other sectors.

So far, there have been no cuts in the wait staff nor are there expected to be any. Yes, there were casualties in the administrative staff of the chief of staff and the general secretary. In December, they did not renew around 60 contracts and in January they dismissed 25 more employees whose contracts had been renewed for one month.
This is part of the Government's reduction plan, which will be carried out month by month with staff dismissals. As TN learned, Karina Milei carried out an audit of her portfolio and believes that it can work with a little more than 600 workers out of the 1,060 that comprise it.

The Association of State Workers (ATE) is in a bid with the Government for the reintegration of disaffected employees, salary improvements and the allocation of overtime. In the last joint meeting, they negotiated a 16% increase with major complaints about layoffs and the right to strike.
The Government maintains the position of auditing all the State's ravioli to disaffect employees who are not considered efficient and maintains that they will reduce the overtime hours established to compensate salaries.

As TN learned, more than 20,000 SINEP workers have extraordinary assignments. “There is a high number of irregularities that will try to be reduced so that there are no differences between employees due to having had a differential relationship with officials,” a leader told this medium.
The ruling party will seek to modify the proportion scheme of personnel referred to public policies and administration, which is currently at 70/30. The Executive wants to bring that percentage to 60/40 with reassignments and plant modifications.
What the resolution says
“In this regard, it is reported that by virtue of the objective of rationalization of State resources established in Decree No. 8/2023, and in order to have an orderly functional management of the distribution of activities of the personnel of its dependency, to As of today, the allocation of overtime is suspended, and operational tasks must be scheduled in the normal legal work day of each agent,” it begins.
“Exceptionally, in the event that the impossibility of responding to urgent operational needs that clearly compromise the public service is proven, the assignment of extraordinary services may be justified. To do this, the functions of the organization and the personnel necessary to fulfill them must be planned,” he continues.
