This is the second death investigated as femicide in the province of Mendoza so far in 2024. On January 26, Pedro Reyes (75) shot and killed his ex-wife Isabel Ríos (69) in the department of San Carlos.
The crime occurred inside a house located at 265 Don Bosco Street, in the Eugenio Bustos district, after Reyes arrived at his ex-partner's home and after a brief dialogue, he killed her with three shots.
The attacker then shot Isabel's brother, who had to be transferred to the Scaravelli hospital with a gunshot wound to his pectoral region, although he managed to recover from the attack.
After that, Reyes took his own life with a shot to the head.
