Deputies begin to debate the articles of the Omnibus Law in the chamber, after the fourth intermission last week after the economic reform project was approved in general. As TN anticipated, legislators who respond to governors expect gestures from the Nation for resources to the provinces, in the midst of pressure to share the Country Tax, a demand resisted by the Executive. At the same time, the ruling party does not have sufficient support from the “dialogue” opposition to approve all the articles.
In turn, the president, Javier Milei, begins a tour abroad that will begin in Israel and will include meetings with the president of that country, Isaac Herzog, and with the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. He will visit the Western Wall and the Holocaust Museum, as part of a tour that will also take him to Italy and the Vatican, where he will have an audience with Pope Francis.

Lospennato said in clarification to Desde el llano, for TN, that “the laws are the sum of most in each of the articles, a representative is dedicated to gathering numbers”, and that La Libertad Avanza “has to do the effort bigger to achieve majorities, to have tools, which is what the president asks for, Javier Milei”.
Along these lines, the head of the block of We Make the Federal Coalition, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, said in statements to Desde el llano, for TN: “Dialogue is fundamental in a force that has a minority in both chambers,” and that the ruling party “has to build the majority for governance, the path and fiscal order.”

The Lower House will resume the session this Tuesday from 2 p.m. with the vote in particular on the reform package, but a busy morning is expected in Congress. The blocks linked to governors are still waiting for a signal from the Executive for resources for the provinces and that a new one will be discussed fiscal pact. On the other hand, some key chapters of the initiative are at serious risk of falling and others do not directly have the votes of the “dialoguist opposition”, to which the ruling party will need yes or yes to approve each article.

Javier Miley will land this Tuesday on the second international trip of his mandate, on a tour that will take him to Israel, Italy and the Vatican, after his participation in the Davos forum, in Switzerland, in mid-January.
It will be a journey that will combine the spiritual and the political. In Israel, it will seek to strengthen an alliance driven by its strong rapprochement with Judaism and its total alignment with that country and the United States in the Middle East conflict.
Meanwhile, in the Vatican, he will try to smooth over differences and relaunch his difficult relationship with Pope Francis after the cataract of insults and questions against Jorge Bergoglio released during the campaign and when he was just a media economist.
