The coach declared at a press conference: “We played a good game. We knew that he was a difficult opponent and that we were going to have few spaces, but we were able to take advantage of what we had. We did not suffer in the defensive phase and we are happy to achieve the three points we needed. “It was a good show of character.”
Regarding the scheme used, Martínez said: “It is much more visible, especially when the teams defend, that it is played in this or that way, but we try to break with the systems. We are not tied to any tactical drawing, we depend on the players and some individual performance can rethink things. The important thing is to generate play and be offensive; We achieved it against Sarmiento and today too.”
As for Darío Benedetto, the technical director said: “I am happy for him; A footballer of his stature and his hierarchy put themselves at the service of the team, we see it well and it is important for the coaching staff. The eleven that play as starters are happy and the rest are not, but it is key not to break the harmony of day-to-day life, so I am very happy with it. In our way he has a margin to give even more, above all he generates expectations in us that, when you talk to him, he looks you in the eyes and listens to you.”

Regarding Miguel Merentiel's performance, Martínez said: “Very good. I highlight his voracity to go searching and score goals, but he also works very well to recover the ball.”
Finally, the coach referred to the brand new reinforcement: “I liked Lautaro Blanco's game a lot. I see him very serious, very focused on what he wants and he is one of the wingers we like: he looks at the goal in front of him and is aggressive in defense.”
