After learning of the death of Sebastián Piñera, former president of Chile, many politicians, celebrities and journalists said goodbye to him through their networks. One of them was Julia Mengolini, who used an unusual term in her dedication and had to give explanations on X (ex Twitter).
On her Instagram account, she shared a story where she could be seen hugging with Piñera. “RIP man (we thought very differently but we knew how to laugh)”, was the phrase she chose to remember the former president.

After receiving several criticisms, he explained the meaning of the word “uncle” in the neighboring country. “In Chile the term “uncle” is very lax. We say that to almost anyone who is older than you,” said the journalist.

“In any case, the relationship is that my uncle is married to the sister of Piñera's wife. I met him, I was at his house, I saw him at weddings and birthdays. We chatted about politics,” she closed.
