After the dissemination of the project with which the block of deputies of Deputies of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) seeks to repeal the law on access to free abortion, political leaders of the opposition expressed themselves against the initiative promoted by government legislators of President Javier Milei.
Despite having received a tough defeat this week in Congress, where the libertarians and the dialogue blocs did not get the necessary votes to vote on the Omnibus Law, the libertarian legislators decided to present the project.

The reaction of the opposition to the project to repeal legal abortion
The vice president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation, Cecilia Moreau, expressed herself through her X account (exTwitter): “The rights won are not going to be taken away. They try to change the subject, they are wrong again.”

At the same time. National Deputy Margarita Stolbizer also expressed herself on her social network: “We are going to defend the validity and implementation of Law 27,610 because it protects the right to voluntary interruption of pregnancy, prevents the death of many women, especially the poorest in the face of a state that is still intended to become more absent.”

The Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy Law was approved in the National Congress on December 30, 2020, in conjunction with the Law of a Thousand Days, which determined that the State must accompany, protect and fully support pregnant women, postpartum women and newborns during that period of time.
