The 19-year-old model was born in Buenos Aires, but moved to California eight years ago with her family. However, her first contact with fashion was in Argentina, she was barely three months old and she paraded in the arms of her mother for a renowned children's brand.
“At 4 years old I participated in a campaign with Gabriel Rocca and Andrecito Pastor. When he was 11, we moved to the outskirts of Los Angeles, California. And although they stopped me a lot from agencies, because I was always very tall, my priority was to finish school,” she says.

But when she finished high school, she decided to give fashion a try and traveled to Buenos Aires, where she worked with different designers and photographers. “I gained a lot of experience, but I knew I wanted to pursue my career abroad. In December I returned home to California to be with my family and earlier this year I moved to New York and joined Elite,” she says of the renowned agency that has discovered talents like Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour.

Already settled in the Big Apple, she did her first casting for Marc Jacobs and, once selected, she went through an intense process that included costume, makeup and hair tests, in addition to rehearsals. “Everything was very exciting, learning about the process, how they take care of every detail and having the possibility of seeing an icon like Marc Jacobs day after day in his office was an extraordinary experience,” she says.

Participating in this parade was a dream come true and a milestone in his budding career. “It was always my dream. My friends at school talked about who they wanted to study or what university they were going to apply to, and I only thought about being a model,” says Vida, who is simultaneously studying Finance.

Regarding the world of modeling today, she highlights the importance of being able to bring your own personality to the catwalk. “The new generations have a lot of exposure on social networks and you can know a lot about a model only from her stories on Instagram or her Tiktoks,” she points out.

“I love that there is much more diversity in castings and that personality is as important as looks. I believe that this openness is due to the way in which our generation relates to others,” she says and assures that, although he lives in the United States, he hopes to have represented Argentina well on the catwalk.
