Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni said that the Government of Javier Milei is working on measures to regulate the fees of private schools, a few weeks before the start of classes and when inflation has a full impact on the middle class.
Days ago, different chambers and entities that bring together privately managed educational institutions throughout the country estimated that, for the beginning of the 2024 school year, there will be increases of between 30 and 50 percent in fees, while emphasizing that each jurisdiction will suffer a different increase because it depends on the adjustment made to the salary at the provincial level.
Under current legislation, private schools can only increase their fees during the year. The time to calculate inflation is before October, so many institutions consider that they fell short with the increases.
