This Saturday after 3 p.m. a substation of the Edesur company in Caballito caught fire and, at the moment, more than 60 thousand users of the City remain without power. Several fire crews are working at the scene to put out the flames.

The flames broke out in the building located on José María Moreno and Juan Bautista Alberdi avenues. After the incident was reported, personnel from Neighborhood Police Station 6B went to the scene and, after implementing the corresponding protocol, they had to evacuate it as well as the entire block.
According to police sources, the causes of the fire are not known at this time, but they did confirm that it started on the ground floor of the building and then affected the back of an adjacent building.

As a result of the incident, there are more than 60 thousand users of the City of Buenos Aires without electricity and firefighters are working on the scene to put out the flames. There are also eight ambulances and four special mobiles.

“Firefighters are working on the fire that occurred at our Caballito Substation. Once the situation is controlled, we will be able to evaluate the damage,” the company wrote on its X account (exTwitter).
