The National Meteorological Service (SMN) has issued orange and yellow alerts for storms in much of the Argentine territory.
Monday morning: Northeast of Mendoza, north of San Luis, south of Córdoba, north of La Pampa, central west and southeast of the province of Buenos Aires. Afternoon and night of Monday: The entire province of Tucumán, center of Salta and north from Santiago del Estero.
Until Monday morning: AMBA (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and surroundings), north and south of the province of Buenos Aires, La Pampa.Monday afternoon and evening: Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Santa Fe and Chaco.Until Monday the afternoon: North of Córdoba, east of San Juan, a large part of La Rioja, east of Catamarca and almost the entire province of Jujuy. Monday night: North of Salta and west of Formosa.
At AMBA we expect:
Storms, some locally strong. Abundant rainfall in short periods. Intense electrical activity. Occasional hail. Strong gusts of wind. Accumulated precipitation between 30 and 60 mm, which may be exceeded in specific areas. Southerly winds with speeds between 50 and 60 km /h, with gusts that could exceed 70 km/h.

Yellow alerts also affect:
North of Córdoba, east of San Juan, much of La Rioja, east of Catamarca and almost the entire province of Jujuy until Monday afternoon. North of Salta and west of Formosa during the night.
Yellow alert: “possible meteorological phenomena with the potential for damage and risk of momentary interruption of daily activities.”
Orange alert: “dangerous meteorological phenomena for society, life, property and the environment.”
