The Radical Civic Union asked this Monday the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, to appoint “urgently and without further delay” the members of the Bicameral of DNU because “that is the only pending step so that it can function”.
They did so through a letter that they delivered to the Deputies' ticket table with the signature of the president of the National Committee, Martín Lousteau; vice presidents Inés Brizuela y Doria and Luis Naidenoff; the heads of the deputies and senators blocs, Rodrigo De Loredo and Eduardo Vischi and the vice presidents of the deputies and senators blocs, Karina Banfi and Pablo Blanco.

“If the previous government took advantage of its majority to block the operation of the Commission for two years, today we are witnessing a new institutional degradation in which this government does not even constitute it,” said the leaders of the UCR. And they considered “this parliamentary control is so crucial that its absence even calls into question the validity of the decrees of the President of the Nation.”
More than two months after the renewal of the Chamber, after formal requests from different blocks, and with the members of the Honorable Senate already appointed weeks ago, its persistent delay in forming the Commission can no longer be attributed to inexperience in the position nor to bureaucratic times,” the radical legislators remarked.
