At that moment, the other boy came out of the sea and went to look for help. According to his testimony, the waves were very difficult and, due to the schedule, there were no lifeguards present.
Civil Defense personnel, lifeguards, police officers and firefighters from Bahía Blanca are working this afternoon in search of Malvar, who is a native of Bahía Blanca and was working in a spa this season.
“A search protocol was put together that extends to El Sauce, in such a way as to have the entire area covered. We have to wait for the tide to go out, the intensity of the wind has decreased, so that makes our work easier,” stressed Fernando Vera, head of the Security area of the tourist city, in dialogue with FM Atlántica.
In principle, the case is labeled as “Whereabouts Investigation” and the ordinary prosecutor's office intervenes.
Another case: he left a festival in Córdoba, went into a dam to cool off and drowned
A 26-year-old man drowned this Sunday after entering a dam in Villa de María del Río Seco, in the north of the province of Córdoba.
The victim was identified as Joaquín Pereyra, a native of the town of San Francisco del Chañar. According to police sources, he did not know how to swim and did not call for help.
The tragic episode occurred this morning when the young man was returning from a local festival with his friends and they all decided to cool off on the dam in the face of so much heat. After a few minutes, it was the friends themselves who realized that Pereyra did not surface and went to ask the Police for help because they did not see him.
