The Israeli army carried out a night operation in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, where it managed to rescue two Argentine hostages who had been kidnapped by Hamas during the attacks on October 7. Those released were identified as Fernando Simon Marman and Louis Har, as confirmed by the Spokesperson of President Javier Milei.
In a statement issued by the Israeli armed forces, it was reported that “in a joint operation by the IDF (army), ISA (Shin Bet security agency) and the police at night in Rafah, two hostages were rescued,” adding that Both are in “good medical condition.”
